Lesson 4 Top Borders
Would you believe it already Thanksgiving has arrived
That means your "New Year's Resolution" you promised yourself
to lose weight by going to the gym and tried every diet there is
you can say goodbye! That's right folks know matter how
hard we try to avoid it we can't help it when that Turkey gets put onto the
beautifully decorated table and all those side dishes so colorful,
and the best is the aroma of the fattening, delicious taste
drooling from your mouths mmm good!
This Webset Consists of:
•Design a Webpage using Fancy Edged Top Borders
and Fancy Edged Boxed Borders
•Add a nice text header
In Lesson 3 we discussed Shadowed Borders and Fancy Fonts
so let's move on and talk about
I did the same thing for the Fancy Edge Top Boxed Borders except
with the merged image on a new layer I took my selection tool made a
rectangle small enough for the border on it kept it selected; gave it a bevel;
moved it up just a tiny bit to give it a drop shadow; then I merged my layers and saved.
You can see an example of a Boxed Edged Border HERE
(double click and minimize to use the font, you do not have to intall it. To save the font
extract to a folder like I have Fonts Not Installed/Decorative/Thanksgiving for future use)
I opened-up a new image 700x100 and went to my Text tool and found the
Thanksgiving Font at a size of 55; stroke 1.0, sharp, kern 25, Stroke color #ff7d4a
and the background color #4c2516. Then I gave it a
drop shadow of: V2/H3/Opacity 55/Blur 6.2/Black...then add another layer and
bring this layer below your text layers and flood fill with the same color
background as this page #f6c478. Merge Layers and Save.
I hope that you enjoyed Lesson 4
